It is physically impossible to sit in the J52G rocking chair without relaxing. The chair instinctively invites you to sit back, enjoy the comfort and slowly find a rhythm in which you sway at the pace. This was also the case in the golden age of Danish furniture design, when several of the greatest architects designed rocking chairs – such as Børge Mogensen's J52G, the swinging relative of the J52B chair. However, the round shapes and proportions in Børge Mogensen's rocking chair are obvious that it is also a work in its own right.
