Description

Rasmus Appel, architect and trained at the Faculty of Industrial Design at the School of Architecture in Copenhagen, has worked for the last 20 years at various design studios and design agencies for furniture manufacturers in Denmark and abroad. He is particularly fascinated by working with the living and organic properties of wood as a material, and he emphasizes that wood is the most sustainable material there is due to its strength, the many processing possibilities and its durability. As an islander, Rasmus is inspired by the simple life during his youth on Bornholm and holidays on the island of Anholt. The display case "Boderne", on the other hand, is inspired by the dignified craftsmanship of the boat builders, by beautiful oak dinghies with fine proportions and artistic wood combinations.
